About

Joanne Eleanor Hawthorn is an artist and worldbuilder whose work has quietly reached homes in more than 40 countries.

For over 15 years, she has been developing multiple worlds behind the scene, carefully shaping their stories, atmospheres, and inner logic long before they are revealed. Each of these worlds exists independently, with its own identity and narrative, yet they share a subtle thread: a common language of emotion, symbolism, and tone that runs through all of her work.

While she continues to expand these universes, Joanne brings small glimpses of them into the visible world through her illustrations. These pieces are not isolated works, but fragments, windows into much larger stories that exist beyond what is immediately seen.

Currently, she is focused on two of her most ambitious projects to date: a book based on one of her worlds, and the development of her first pixel art game, both part of a long-term vision to bring her worlds to life across different mediums.

In the meantime, she shares small glimpses of these worlds through her illustrations, and hopes to soon reveal more about these projects.
